LYS-7138 is mirror engraved from its blue-coated back. Removing only the ultra-thin rear coating creates transparent information while the full clear acrylic face remains smooth—an effective structure for visitor information kiosk identifiers and visitor directory labels.

How the Blue-Backed Structure Works

Viewed through the transparent acrylic body, the rear coating gives the sheet an even blue appearance. Fabricators prepare mirror artwork and remove the coating from the back. The resulting transparent openings read correctly from the front, and the selected holder or background can provide the visible contrast without interrupting the smooth face.

CO2 Laser Rear-Side Processing

Place the sheet blue-coated side up and engrave mirrored artwork from the rear. Parameters should remove the coating cleanly without unnecessarily cutting into the acrylic body. Confirm the selected thickness, optics, speed, power, kiosk backing and artwork on a physical sample before volume production.
